The key ingredient is having an instructor that is able to explain concepts in a way that is understandable and that caters to each individual learner. My goal with our sessions is to effectively and efficiently improve your accounting proficiency in a manner that aligns with your learning style. I want to set you up for success for any of your accounting endeavors.
So, what are my credentials? While new to Wyzant, I have an extensive academic, professional, and tutoring background. Academically, I graduated with a degree in Accountancy from the Zicklin Undergraduate Honors Program at Baruch College with a 3.83/4.00 GPA (top 10% of graduating class - Beta Gamma Sigma accolade) with dual minors in English and Advanced Business Analysis. Additionally, I passed all CPA exams on the first attempt with plenty of wiggle room. Professionally, I've worked at two of the Big 4 accounting firms specializing in audits of financial services clients. After, I transitioned to industry where I gained over five-year’s experience as lead analyst at a publicly traded insurance company working on SEC and financial reporting. Throughout my academic and professional career, I've tutored students in accounting while in college, or trained and onboarded them as new employees, including new analysts, consultants, and managers.
I've learned a lot through my accounting journey thus far and look forward to imparting that knowledge to the next generation of CPA's and accountants. Together we'll learn more about accounting, expand our network, and make sure you pass that exam!
