Bio

I am an experienced PA certified teacher focusing on History, Social Studies, English, APUSH, and ESL (especially for Chinese people in China or America). I teach online anywhere in America OR THE WORLD. I am willing to teach parents about education who need help teaching their children during the pandemic.

I have three security clearances, and HAVE BEEN TEACHING FOR FOURTEEN YEARS, and tutoring for 6+ years. I can teach the AP History exam. I can give some amateur college selection...

I teach online anywhere in America OR THE WORLD. I am willing to teach parents about education who need help teaching their children during the pandemic.

I am an enthusiastic and friendly person who is well organized and punctual. Hard working and persistent, I only want to teach students who want to learn. I can teach ADULTS and children.

I have a B.A. in History and an M.A. in Liberal Arts from Villanova University emphasizing history. I am PA certified to teach Social Studies and English. I have taught history for one year in China, and have taught in various school settings, including as an adjunct professor of history for two years. I have spent my entire life learning about history, U.S. Govt, and politics. I frequently teach Asian-American students, and ESL students new to America.

Regarding English, my M.A. included studying English and I am PA certified to teach English. I TAUGHT English for one year in China, and one year in the Philadelphia school system, and numerous days as a substitute teacher. I also taught and tutored English in China. I have my own small tutoring company in which I tutor English. I have worked for Kaplan tutoring the English portion of the SAT. I have spent my entire life learning and WRITING about history, US government, and politics, along with reading literature.

A tutor I would recommend

Working with David Gambel has been a great experience. He has a strong grasp of AP U.S. History and does an excellent job breaking down complex topics so they’re easy to understand. His sessions were always focused and productive, whether we were reviewing major events, working through DBQs, or preparing for the AP exam. He’s patient, supportive, and really helped build my confidence in the subject. I’ve seen a clear improvement in both my understanding and my performance since we started. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable APUSH tutor!

Mr. Gamble was very accommodating to our last minute request for tutoring. My son was behind on APWH homework units 1-4 and Mr. Gamble helped my son get caught up over the weekend. Mr. Gamble is very knowledgeable and prepared to help my son. My son had all positive things to say about Mr. Gamble and definitely wants to continue with him. I am so thankful to have found a long-term tutor for my son! We intend to have weekly tutoring sessions.
