Languages (TCSOL). from Columbia University, New York (USA). I have taught Chinese at all levels, from
children to adults. I bring over 15 years of teaching experience from schools to colleges at Friends School, the
Department of Modern languages and Cultures at Arcadia University and Johns Hopkins Center for Talented
Youth, CTY Online Programs. I have received teaching grants for STRATTALK from Penn Chinese Teachers
Advancement Programs. I received a fellowship to Mandarin for Future Mandarin Teachers (MFMT 2009) at
East China Normal University, China.
Teaching Chinese is my passion. Regarding my teaching style, I adapt to various approaches, including the
communicative approach (immersing students in the target language), task-based language learning, and the
structural approach. I am well-versed in designing customized curricula based on diverse resources. My
teaching style immerses students into the culture and their interests and goals.
