Ohio State University (Biology Ed)
I am an experienced teacher of 25 years. I have taught a wide range of subjects which include: science, math, English, history, health, physical education, and Spanish.
My teaching experiences have taken me to various schools where I have taught an interesting variety of students. Rare is the concept that I cannot help any given student understand the subject.
Learning can be at times difficult. I have the patience and understanding of student learning frustration. I am upbeat in attitude and will settle for nothing less that success. Every student can conquer their school lessons with my help. I look forward to teaming up with today's challenged learners and seeing them be successful.
My excitement about teaching is as high as it was when I started. Discussing subject matter is still one of my favorite things to do. My enthusiasm is infectious, and my greatest delight is helping students learn.
My college course work was comprehensive in format. I have studied chemistry, physics, geology, botany, biochemistry, microbiology, astronomy, and zoology. These courses often included laboratories in which I learned a wide variety of lab techniques. Although science is often thought of as a harder subject, I have the unique ability to make science sensible and relevant to any student.
If you feel helpless or discouraged about learning, I am the person that can help. Do not quit. Contact me and we will be winners together.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
