As a tutor, I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that can initially feel overwhelming. My background combines graduate level science education, clinical research experience, and hands on teaching, which allows me to explain complex concepts in a clear and approachable way. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from George Washington University and a Master of Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University. I am currently completing graduate studies in Microbiology and Immunology while pursuing additional pre health coursework at the University of Pennsylvania.
Professionally, I work in oncology clinical research operations at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania, where I collaborate with physicians, researchers, and multidisciplinary teams involved in clinical trials and translational research. I have also co authored oncology research publications and previously worked as a Lead Educator teaching biology, genetics, and biomedical research concepts through hands on educational programs.
I enjoy working with students from a variety of educational backgrounds, including high school, college, graduate, pre health, nursing, psychology, and public health students. My tutoring style focuses on patience, encouragement, and adapting sessions to each student’s learning style and goals. Rather than relying on memorization alone, I aim to help students truly understand scientific concepts so they can apply their knowledge confidently in class and beyond.
The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is helping students build confidence and discover that science can be interesting, approachable, and enjoyable. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them develop the same curiosity and appreciation for science that I have developed throughout my own education and career.
