Hello, my name is Larry. I have a Master's degree in Biology from Rutgers and a Bachelor's degree in Life Science from Penn State. I also have a combined Master's and Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Pennsylvania College of Technology. I am currently a PA-C. I have certifications in BLS, ACLS and PALS.

As a sophomore undergraduate, I did a semester of student teaching at a middle school. This was an after school program designed to help students who needed extra help with their homework or to improve their grades. In addition, I also help prepare the students for the Pennsylvania State System of Assessments by helping them work through assignments and answer questions. Finally, I prepared lesson plans, particularly in science where I engaged students in fun but useful activities. I have tutored 6 months in A&P, general biology, general chemistry and organic chemistry in a one on one environment. I am able to tutor in inorganic chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, microbiology, anatomy & philosophy and genetics.

I enjoy tutoring because I can help students develop their own approach to understanding the subject matter. I get to build a good relationship with students and how they think. This will allow me to approach tutoring in a way that fits the student needs in the best way. Part of my goal is to make learning a great experience. Typically I would want to know the student's weaknesses and develop a lesson plan from there. I believe practicing is important but also allowing for questions.
