To my perspective students and their families:
My name is Todd N. and I have lots of experience teaching individuals whom need help getting ahead in their education. I have a degree in special education, as well as two masters degrees in education, as I will provide students the encouragement and knowledge that they need to become successful. It is my strength to provide one-on-one instruction with students, as I tend to build a great rapport with them, and get the most out of them, while I am teaching them.
I feel it is important to get to know the students and what they like in order to provide them with real life examples that will stick with them, as I am working in the areas of their deficiencies. I have tutored students before, both from a personal standpoint, and through different school districts, as a homebound instructor. These tutoring sessions went extremely well, as I was able to provide each and every student with exactly what they needed, as my methods of teaching are extremely non-intrusive and I ensure the students that they will come out of each and every lesson with something learned. I always provide the students with positive feedback, and I never say and/or focus on anything negative throughout the lessons that I teach.
Another important aspect that I always focus on with each and every student is building their self-esteem, as I incorporate that right into the lessons that I teach.
Additionally, I have taught students that have ranged from kindergarten to 12th grade. Also, I have taught in all subject areas, as my greatest strengths are in reading, math, and writing. I have been teaching for the past 18 years, as I have built many relationships and been respected in the profession for all of those years due to my ability to build rapport with staff, families, and students. Also, I approach each student differently, as I believe everyone learns differently, and I need to provide each student with The tools that they will need in order to learn the material and become successful
