Hi, I'm Brandon! As an experienced AP World History teacher, I know the course can feel overwhelming at time. In my classroom, I emphasize that success in WHAP isn't about memorizing facts. It's about understanding the bigger picture and developing critical thinking skills. My goal is to help you engage with history in a way that makes sense. Sessions will focus on strengthening your ability to analyze and write about history, while also mastering test-taking strategies. While AP World History can be challenging, it doesn't mean learning can't be fun. I create an engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and applying skills. I use games and activities to make history interactive and help with difficult concepts. Every student learns differently, so I tailor activities and materials to meet their needs before sessions. If your focus is preparing for the AP Exam and maximizing your score, I take pride in helping students reach their goals. As an AP Exam grader for the College Board for 10 years, I have firsthand insight into the skills needed to perform well. In my experience of preparing thousands of students for the exam, I've developed materials and strategies that have helped them perform well above national averages.

Overall, I have a passion for history and learning. I've been teaching AP World History for 17 years, with 22 years in education overall. I studied at the University of Southern California for my undergraduate degree and continued my education at the University of Pittsburgh. I've taught American History, Sociology, Philosophy, and AP European History. Teaching diverse courses allowed me to work with students from differing backgrounds and learning styles while supporting their growth.
