“**Exceeded expectations!!!!!**”

My full-time job is teaching in a dedicated educational facility within a large engineering firm. The main purpose of the school is to give new employees, mostly recent college graduates, a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and other applied sciences, despite their varied backgrounds. Part of my teaching responsibility is to provide

Honestly some of the most insightful help I have found in many years of trying to understand things. From only the short time of our two sessions (BOTH), I can only imagine the wealth of knowledge that Marty can easily relate to with me. I am a college student who gets very distracted and overwhelmed with all the very necessary information given to us for math and science subjects. I was extremely relieved to find that Marty was more than capable of keeping up with my unorganized learning process. He answered both mathematical, and conceptual questions in a clear way that CONNECTED those two realms of information; in so doing I found that I can also change HOW I learn things. This is rare rather than someone who shows you only how to apply a specific concept. I jumped off "assignment" topic with a question and he even answered using the current assignment as an example to answer. Have seen significant progress since then. I am going to FOR SURE see him again.

Marty knows Matlab very well. Explains how the structures of the matlab program work. He goes over problems in Applied Numerical Methods with you drawing pictures and visuals so you can solve the problem more effectively. Great Tutor.

I've been out of school for some time and I'm jumping back in with Calculus III. I was on week 2 and felt that I was really starting to fall behind. Marty helped me get through the difficulty of the material and made it easier to understand. I felt the one session had helped so much that we are going to try to meet on a weekly basis for the rest of the semester.

Marty is a really great and caring teacher! I needed help in my high school senior year physics class going over new current topics and reviewing old ones to learn the material that I at first was not understanding in class and struggling with, but once I got the extra help I felt like I was actually learning the concepts and learning from mistakes during the lessons and was able to do the problems on my own afterwards. He is great at explaining things and he took the time to understand my individual questions. It was so helpful to have someone so detail oriented and consistent with going through the problems. I feel like I have benefited remarkably with Marty's help and have seen how much I've progressed in the class since then on homework, quizzes, and tests. It is just so great to have someone who truly cares about helping others! Thanks!

Marty's rates are very reasonable, and he has gone above and beyond to meet my son's academic needs and still be extremely fair and considerate with billing. He honestly cares most about the achievement of the student. I feel like we got really lucky--or BLESSED-- with Marty--or both!

Marty is an excellent teacher and if it were not for him I would not have passed this semester in my MS in ME program.

Marty helped me complete Physics problems that I was having a difficult time with. He provides very helpful explanations and makes himself extremely available to help to whenever needed!

Started helping me with Derivatives and limits. Was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. Was patient and understanding that I had not done math in years.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

As an engineer, I have learned, extensively used, and taught calculus. It is amazing how powerful calculus is in solving many day-to-day problems in science and engineering. It is derived entirely from the fundamental axioms of mathematics, but many times students run into a roadblock that keeps them from attaining a full working knowledge of the subject. My aim will be to remove those obstacles, and it is my sincere wish to see you become as proficient and enthusiastic about calculus as I am!

As a Mathematics instructor in a graduate-level engineering school, I am very familiar with differential equations and techniques for solving them. Methods for solving ordinary differential equations include: Reduction of Order, the Method of Undetermined Coefficients, Variation of Parameters, the Frobenius Method, and various numerical approximation methods. Some differential equations that involve eigenvalues generate infinite series of orthogonal functions, including: Fourier Series, Bessel Functions, and Legendre Polynomials. Partial equations can be solved either numerically or using Separation of Variables. These are just a few of the methods that I can explain very clearly to you.

Since 2000, my full-time job is as a staff instructor in a small industrial school that provides advanced education to engineers in various mechanical and nuclear engineering courses. Mechanical engineering courses that I am qualified to teach are Heat Transfer & Fluid Flow and Applied Structural Mechanics. Prior to teaching, I worked in industry for 12 years as a mechanical engineer. I have held an active Professional Engineer license in Pennsylvania since 1988.

Since 2000, my full-time job is as a staff instructor in a small industrial school that provides dedicated education to engineers in various mechanical and nuclear engineering courses. Naturally, these courses require a thorough understanding of physics by the students. Physics is an extremely powerful and elegant tool for understanding and predicting the behavior of objects in the universe. My goal will be not only to remove any obstacles in your way to understanding physics, but to see you become proficient and enthusiastic about it.

Pre-calculus lays the foundation for the concepts that are so elegantly tied together in calculus. Even though the tools taught in pre-calculus build on algebra and so forth, it can be frustrating to understand these new tools, or why they are important. My aim will be to identify and remove the obstacles to your learning, and to make it clear how the tools of pre-calculus will be used in calculus. I will help you to become not only proficient, but enthusiastic, in the tools of pre-calculus!
