I started developing my career when I was a junior in college with a completely empty resume, then one year later I received 3 Software Engineering internship offers after building my resume and preparing for interviews. I interviewed at more companies for fulltime positions after the internship and I accepted an offer from a leading financial firm to begin working right after my college graduation. I worked several jobs, worked on many projects, and prepared for behavioral and technical interviews from many companies while I was a college student so I could get into the tech industry. I can show students how they can build their resume from nothing and prepare for interviews so they can get their first internship and secure a fulltime job for when they graduate.

In my career I've implemented new features in Java and Golang that use data structures like lists, queues, and hash maps to contain data. For example, one application that I work on uses a hash map to map IP addresses to active TCP client connections so our server can send queued TCP messages to every active connection in the map. I can also teach how to use data structures to solve interview problems since I've used them to solve common tree, graph, and linked list questions that are usually asked in technical interviews.

I'm currently a Software Engineer with 3 years of experience at a leading financial firm and have previously interned at another large company prior to this. The application process for my current role consisted of resume screening, an online assessment, a behavioral interview, and a technical interview. I prepared for the interview process well ahead of time and know the behavioral and technical questions that recruiters and engineers like to ask in interviews. I have interview notes and material that I am ready to teach and also know how a resume should look like in order to get interviews at top companies.

I began learning Java in 2019 in college and used the programming language for projects, interviews, and now as a software engineer 3 years into the industry. I graduated with a 3.56 GPA in Computer Science in 2022 and I remember my programming and data structures courses like I took them yesterday. I have taught younger students how code in Java so they can enter Computer Science programs at universities and I’m still using Java at one of the biggest financial firms in the world.
