Hello, I'm Jason! Over the last 13 years, I have worked with students in all grades K-12, either through tutoring or as a classroom teacher. I have been a fully certified, highly effective teacher for the past 13 years. Teaching for me is a calling. I love helping my students reach their potential and go beyond what they currently think they are capable of.

In addition to being a classroom teacher, I have been working with a local, private test prep company for the past 5 years and have over 7,000 hours of tutoring experience. The SAT and ACT are not IQ tests and are not simply a measure of how smart you are. You can make significant gains in your scores if you understand these tests, know what strategies to use, and target your specific content areas of need. I love working with students to explain concepts in a way that they can understand, give them steps they can take to reach their goals, and help them to arrive at that "aha" moment for themselves.

For students that are not sure whether to take the SAT or ACT, I provide consultations to help students decide which test is the right fit. I am also willing to do consultations (1 or a few sessions) for students to help get them started on SAT or ACT prep that they can do primarily on their own. This would be for students that are already close to achieving their score goals or are highly motivated to self-study and just need some direction to get started.

I am excited to begin tutoring you or your child! While I specialize in ACT and SAT prep, I also do prep for SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT as well as subject tutoring for grades K-12. Based on your needs, we can do anywhere from 1 or a few sessions to regular on-going sessions for several months. We'll work together to figure out a plan that best serves you! All prep for PSAT is also SAT prep since the formats of the two tests are virtually identical.

Smart, Friendly, Supportive - Perfect SAT Tutor!

Wow! Jason was amazing for our son. He only had one session with him prior to his SAT and our plan was to continue lessons until the next SAT - but Jason's tips, support and all around encouragement provided a huge confidence boost leading into the test and our son exceeded his goal score! Jason is very approachable and kind. He made our son feel comfortable. Jason also really understands the test and gave our son great tips and guidance. We are very grateful to him!
