I am a master’s-level educator with 13 years of teaching experience working with students across kindergarten through 12th grade. Throughout my career, I have taught in classroom settings and provided individualized support to students with a wide range of learning needs and abilities. My experience spans foundational reading and math instruction in the elementary grades as well as supporting older students in building comprehension, writing skills, and academic confidence. This range allows me to meet students where they are and adapt instruction to their specific goals. My approach to tutoring is centered on building both skill and confidence. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and capable. I use a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and targeted feedback to help students close learning gaps and develop independence. For younger learners, I incorporate engaging, structured strategies to strengthen reading fluency, phonics, and math foundations. For older students, I focus on organization, critical thinking, and strategies that improve long-term academic success. In both classroom and one-on-one settings, I have consistently worked with diverse learners, including students who need extra support as well as those looking to get ahead. I take pride in creating a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking academic risks. My goal is not only to help students improve their performance, but to help them develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed beyond our sessions.

I am patient, encouraging, and skilled at breaking down complex material into manageable steps so students can succeed both in the classroom and independently. As a tutor, I focus on creating a supportive learning environment that strengthens understanding, critical thinking, and long-term academic confidence.

Most Engaging Tutor We’ve Tried

My 5th grade son does not have a tutoring session high on his priority list after school, however; Brianna quickly had him engaged and working without complaint. She obviously has great experience with that age group, and provided helpful feedback and expectations for the next session. We have tried several tutors and by far this was my son’s best session.
