Tina is an Educational Therapist certified through the Association of Educational Therapists. In addition, she is a Certified Special Education Teacher. She has worked as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager in New York and Connecticut schools for nearly a decade.
Tina has hands-on classroom experience, as well as working directly with students on emotional, social and academic support. Tina’s classroom experience includes working with students one on one as well as STEM related academics. She has also taught and run an Executive Functioning course for local middle school students.
Tina earned her Masters degree in Secondary Education from Manhattanville College; and her BA in Psychology from Binghamton University. Her certifications in addition to her AET include; Students with Disabilities, Biology, Chemistry and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
As a mother of two and a teacher in Public schools, Tina has first hand observed the challenges that our present students are facing. Because of this experience, she sees her mission to help drive students to work on all aspects of their academic career, including social and emotional skills that are necessary for child development.
