Hello! I look forward to the opportunity to help you learn and love science! Science can be such a wonderful subject, helping you to understand how and why things are, how they behave, what you can do to create and change them. It can also be frustrating when you don't understand it. That's what I hope to help you with, to make the connections that will help you understand.

Hello! I look forward to the opportunity to help you learn and love science! Science can be such a wonderful subject, helping you to understand how and why things are, how they behave, what you can do to create and change them. It can also be frustrating when you don't understand it. That's what I hope to help you with, to make the connections that will help you understand.

Over the years of teaching and tutoring, I have found that my best skill was in taking the often very complicated concepts and terms, and translating them so that they are much more palatable, easier to digest. I often incorporate analogies that my students can relate to, something from their experience. Customizing the learning experience, tailoring it to the needs of each student allows me to help them more effectively.

Outside of tutoring, I am learning programming languages (SQL, Python, Tableau), and am hoping to build a robot (I'm just starting to use an Arduino). I enjoy listening to music from various genres, and hope to someday play a guitar. I was finally successful in growing plants this year, so I tend to them every day. I do enjoy sightseeing, so I look forward to being able to do that again soon.

I look forard to working with you, to help you not only improve, but to feel confident and succeed. Reach out to me today to arrange an opportunity!

A life savior

Thank Ed for coming to the rescue. I put out a call for help and Ed came in same day. We are so grateful. Ed’s style fit perfectly for my son. He was able to help explain chemistry in a way that started to make sense. Love his teaching methods. Thanks Ed

Knowledgable

Edward was knowledgeable but we had a hard time connecting with what help i needed. He seemed surprised about what I did not know about. He was nice and courteous, but we had some trouble communicating about my needs.

Tutor responded:

My apologies that you were not completely satisfied with the lesson. To clarify, I was not surprised about what you did not know. Rather, I had to determine what you did know that we could build upon, which was made more difficult when you admitted to not paying attention in class at all times, and were unsure whether information had been presented by the instructor. Make sure to stay on top of the course, and to connect with classmates, to fill in any information gaps. Wishing you success in the course!

Ed is an excellent Tutor

I have reached out to Ed the last minute to help my daughter who was struggling with chemistry. Ever since Ed has been tutoring her she said she understands chemistry better now than ever, Ed uses visual learning style to teach her and that is a great help since she is a visual learner. She was able to progress from a C to B in the after 3 lesson sessions.

AP Physics

Edward L. did a great job helping my son to understand his homework. He took extra time explaining to him the computer program my son's class uses and the best way to input his answers and not be counted off. He is flexible and quick to respond. He is a great teacher.
