Excels at quickly separating the parts that my son understands from those parts that he does not. Therefore, the sessions focus on the parts that my son is struggling with. My son appreciates not being bored with going over things that he already understands. Doug's tutoring style is easy-going and my son always comes away feeling much less stressed over his math and with a much greater understanding than before the session. My son has been tutored now each week for several months and he has not once complained about attending! He actually enjoys learning math with Doug.
Doug was a big help in setting up my statistics program. He acts very mature and professional. I would highly recommend him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
