I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at Penn State, where my work focuses on bioinorganic chemistry and enzymatic mechanisms. My academic training has given me a strong foundation across general chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and biochemistry. I have extensive experience applying chemistry concepts in both research and teaching settings, and I bring that depth of understanding into my tutoring to help students connect fundamental ideas to real-world applications.

I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience at both the high school and university levels. During my time at Johns Hopkins, I served as a teaching assistant for multiple chemistry courses and consistently received excellent student feedback. I have also mentored undergraduate and graduate students in research settings, working with them one-on-one to develop problem-solving skills, interpret data, and build confidence in complex topics. In addition, I have experience tutoring high school students in subjects like algebra and chemistry, both in small group settings and individualized sessions, which has helped me adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and levels.

My tutoring approach focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation while also improving problem-solving strategies. I typically introduce topics by simplifying the core ideas, then guide students through practice problems to reinforce understanding. I have worked with a wide range of students, from high school learners to college-level chemistry students, and I tailor each session based on the student’s goals and pace. My aim is to create a supportive and structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can steadily improve both their understanding and academic performance.
