I hold a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh where I graduated magna cum laude with a 3.53 GPA. During my time at Pitt I developed a strong foundation across the natural sciences including biology, chemistry, and genetics, and I am currently enrolled in a Master of Science Nursing Program beginning in May 2026. I hold an NREMT certification and worked as an EMT for two years in Pittsburgh, giving me hands-on clinical experience that directly informs my science tutoring.
My approach to standardized test preparation is rooted in practice over passive learning which resulted in my own results. I scored a 165 Verbal/ 165 Quant on the GRE, and a 94.7 on the ATI TEAS (99th Percentile). For every exam I followed the same framework: establish a baseline diagnostic, identify weak areas, and address them through targeted problem practice.
My teaching experience includes serving as a Genetics Teaching Assistant at Pitt where I worked one on one and in small group settings with undergrad students to clarify difficult concepts and support their performance on exams. I am comfortable working with college students needing support in biology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and genetics, pre-nursing students preparing for the TEAS, and graduate school applicants preparing for the GRE across both the verbal and quantitative sections.
My background as both a science student and an incoming healthcare graduate student gives me insight into the academic demands facing pre-health and graduate school applicants.
