As an art and design instructor, I’ve taught several college-level studio courses at Penn State University. My students ranged in age from 18 to their mid-30s, and I’ve worked in both large classroom settings and one-on-one mentorship formats. I also have experience teaching online art classes to younger students, ages 7 to 15.
My teaching emphasizes hands-on, process-based learning that encourages students to think critically about visual culture while developing strong technical and conceptual skills. Whether working on foundational drawing techniques or advanced conceptual projects, I tailor my instruction to each student’s needs and goals.
I welcome learners at all levels, from absolute beginners to aspiring art school applicants, and I’m especially passionate about helping students build thoughtful, visually compelling portfolios and develop their personal artistic voice.
