Do you or your child need extra help in math from a younger tutor who provides a relaxed environment?

My name is Jacob, and I am a student at Penn State. My major focuses a lot around mathematics and statistics, so I am constantly solving problems and using mathematical concepts every day.

Being a younger tutor, I believe that I provide a more relaxed and welcoming environment. Older tutors can be a little intimidating, and I promise that my sessions are efficient and effective while being stress-free. Because I am a student, I know what teaching styles work best for younger students, and I am willing to change my teaching style to best fit your needs.

I have taken over 10 math courses and college and have excelled in all of them. Math has always been easier for me to understand, and I know that this is not the case for all students. However, I firmly believe that anyone can perform well in their math classes. Through repetition, practice, and the right teaching style, students are highly likely to receive the grade they want in the courses. And of course, I am here to help with that.

I have experience tutoring students in basic Statistics courses for high school and college students. I am looking to expand my experience in other math courses, such as Precalculus, Calculus 1 and 2, and Actuarial Science exam preparation. I am high skilled in all of these areas, as I have passed two actuarial exams already and continue to study for additional ones. In order to pass these exams, I had to excel in my Calculus and Statistics courses. I have been on the Dean's list for all 3 years in college so far and have been awarded with designations for achieving a 4.0 GPA in both my freshman and sophomore years.
