Hello! I'm Breana, a registered nurse with eight years of experience at Penn Medicine, where I've worked in cardiothoracic surgery and interventional cardiology. I recently earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Drexel University and passed the AACN Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board certification exam, so I understand both the clinical side of nursing and the challenges of succeeding in nursing school and high-stakes exams.

Throughout my career, I've enjoyed teaching and mentoring others. As an experienced bedside nurse, I've helped orient and support newer nurses, explain complex medical concepts in approachable ways, and guide learners through clinical reasoning and patient care scenarios. My experience has taught me that students learn best when they understand the "why" behind a concept—not just how to memorize it.

I primarily tutor nursing students in subjects such as Med-Surg, Cardiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Clinical Reasoning, and NCLEX-style test-taking strategies. I also enjoy helping students prepare for exams by breaking down difficult topics into manageable pieces, working through practice questions together, and identifying patterns that improve confidence and critical thinking.

My tutoring sessions are personalized to each student's learning style. Whether you're struggling with heart failure, ECG interpretation, hemodynamics, or simply feeling overwhelmed by nursing school, I'll meet you where you are.
