Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Nate, and I have spent more than 12 years helping students achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals. I currently serve as an Associate Dean of Student Success and Advising Dean at Haverford College, where I work one-on-one with hundreds of undergraduate students throughout their college experience. I earned a Master of Science in Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs from West Chester University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Bloomsburg University. Over the course of thousands of advising appointments, I have helped students strengthen their study skills, navigate academic challenges, explore majors and careers, prepare for graduate school, and develop resumes, cover letters, and personal statements that reflect their strengths.
Before joining Haverford, I worked with low-income, first-generation, college-bound high school students, providing tutoring, mentoring, and college preparation support through after-school meetings and weekly workshops. Those experiences taught me that every student has unique goals, learning styles, and challenges. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. Rather than simply giving answers, I meet each student where they are and help them to develop the skills and confidence to succeed independently.
