Thank you for your interest in my story. In the following paragraphs I would like to share a bit without you about who I am as an educator and why I would make a good tutor for you. First let me share with you my educational background. I was born into a military family where I traveled across the world and attended 5 different school districts in my K-12 education. I experienced many challenges during this diverse education and it led to me attending the University of Pittsburgh where I earned a bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from in 2020, and a master’s of arts in teaching in 2021.
My educational career has proven to be as much a diverse journey as my schooling. I have worked at multiple diverse school districts before I accepted a position as a graduation recovery and pathways teacher at PA Distance Learning Charter School. I have remained at this charter ever since mentoring students from across the entire state of PA in a virtual classroom setting. My current position has me working with students of high school age (14-18), but I have had experiences working with and tutoring students of middle school age as well (11-13). My specialty when working with students has been in writing and analyzing non-fiction based works!
Now that you know a bit about my background I would like to share with you what I bring to you as an educator and a tutor. As a tutor I am dedicated and driven to help you succeed however possible. I believe that through one-to-one mentorship and personal connections students can reach their full potential. When you enlist me as a tutor you can rest assured that you will be my sole focus during our sessions! This approach has proven to be effective for multiple students I have mentored through credit recovery and enrichment based tutoring programs at PA Distance.
