Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I've completed the math sequence through BC Calculus. In high school, I took Algebra II, Precalculus Honors, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC; I earned at least an A in each of these classes, and I scored a 5 on the Calculus AB AP Exam and a 4 on the Calculus BC AP Exam. I've also earned perfect scores on both the math section of the SAT as well as the Math II SAT Subject Test.
College Counseling

College Counseling

As a student who applied to over 20 schools, I am more than familiar with the college application process and the daunting task of essay writing. I was accepted to Princeton, Cornell, and UPenn, as well as Vanderbilt, Duke, Georgetown, UC Berkeley, UCLA, NYU, UNC Chapel Hill, and UVA. I can help students who are applying to college craft their personal statement, edit supplemental essays, and highlight extracurriculars and awards on their Common Application. My SAT score was a 1570, and my junior year GPA (which was submitted to colleges) was a 4.68 out of a 4.0. I am beyond grateful for those who looked over my essays and supplementals when I was submitting applications, and I want to return the favor by doing the same for others.

Public Speaking

Public Speaking

Mock Trial is an extracurricular activity in which students simulate a real courtroom trial and are judged by public speaking ability and poise in the courtroom. In high school, I was a four year member of my school's nationally recognized varsity Mock Trial team, and I served as captain of the program for two years. During my high school career, I won a state championship, placed 11th in the team national tournament, won over 15 Best Attorney Awards, and was ranked among the top 15 high school competitors in the world. Currently, I am an opening attorney on the Princeton Mock Trial A team, and I recently was ranked as the number one attorney at Carnegie Mellon's annual college Mock Trial invitational. In addition to over four years of Mock Trial, my public speaking experience includes serving as my graduating class's commencement speaker and delivering speeches to incoming students and parents while serving as my high school's student body president.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Shailee has been tutoring my high school daughter with Pre-Calculus Honors. My daughter has struggled with the teaching style of her school teacher which caused her to acquire a sour outlook on math. Right away, Shailee has been able to turn that around. Her teaching style is perfect as she is patient and can easily relate to my daughter. Shailee is very thorough with her teaching and very clear with her explanations. She is also prompt in her replies and scheduling, and she also follows up with tailored study guides and helpful tips. My daughter has had several tutors but this is the first one that she was able to connect with and come out of the session feeling confident and knowledgeable about the information learned. She commented that if only her school teacher could teach like Shailee then she would have no issues with math and would probably make 100s on everything! Thank you Shailee for bringing back my daughter's confidence. She will definitely be calling on you again!
