I am an incoming first year medical school student at a MD school. Mutual respect is essential for learning! Mistakes are a part of the learning process, and I make it my point to be patient with the students I tutor! Without mistakes, one cannot learn and grow as a student. I make it my mission to foster a welcoming learning environment and a nonjudgemental attitude with my students, so they feel confident in their learning. I graduated with a bachelor's in science in Psychology at John Carroll University. There I obtained a service recognition award and made dean's list. I then continued higher education at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine where I achieved a master's in biomedical sciences. Throughout my masters, I completed neuroscience and community health research. I also received a presidential leadership award for service, in this master's program, that my colleagues nominated me for amongst the entire cohort of students.
I have experience tutoring for one year in my undergraduate education where I tutored grade school and high school students 1-on-1 in sciences such as Biology, Physiology, and even a little Social Studies! I always had a passion for helping others succeed academically and I have developed the skill of breaking down complex topics into simpler forms throughout my role as a tutor and teaching assistant at my local church.
