Knowledgeable and Effective Biology Tutor
We had our first Biology tutoring session with Carissa and had a very positive experience. She was knowledgeable, explained the material clearly, and did a good job engaging my son and checking her understanding throughout the session. My son felt the session was helpful and came away with a better understanding of the topics they reviewed. We plan to continue working with Carissa for additional Biology sessions.

Awesome Tutor
Carissa is a very focused teacher. She knows where the student needs help and is too the point in focussing on the weakest point. Her sessions with my 10th grader has been really helpful. I would definitely recommend Carissa.

Really like the teaching style that Carissa incorporates in her Biology lessons, that involves breaking down of difficult concept with easy to understand shared examples, and then frequent questioning back to the student in order to assess them before moving forward with next topic. Very Knowledgeable Tutor
Carissa has been helping my daughter (Junior in High School) with her AP Biology Class. I can tell she is a student who desires to own her learning and does not blame her teacher for not doing a better job. Some teachers are not doing a good job teaching, but AP is taught to develop an independent learner ready to tackle the challenges of college. I truly believe many schools are not prepping kids to succeed in AP. They spoon-feed and then suddenly the student is expected to suddenly be an independent learner in AP. Schools should be teaching students to be more independent in their learning prior to an AP class or classes.
