I am a certified educator in Special Education (PreK–12), Elementary Education (K–12), and hold a Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist. With over 20 years of experience as a special education teacher, I have worked in a variety of instructional settings—from self-contained small group reading interventions to co-taught ELA classrooms. I am trained in Wilson Reading, a structured literacy program grounded in Orton-Gillingham principles that uses direct, multisensory, and interactive methods to support students with language-based learning differences, including dyslexia.
I am deeply committed to using evidence-based, multisensory strategies to build students' decoding, fluency, and spelling skills. My approach is rooted in the belief that all children can learn to read when provided with the right tools, support, and instruction tailored to their unique needs. As both an educator and a parent of a child with dyslexia—now thriving in high school AP classes—I understand firsthand the power of personalized, engaging instruction. I strive to help students make meaningful connections, remain actively engaged, and develop confidence in their reading journey.
