I am a retired classroom teacher, with 25 years of experience in that field. I've taught all grades from 1-12 in various ways, but mostly between grades 2-8. My BA degree in Elementary Education (minor in Biology) and my Masters work in Sci. Ed. are rounded out by my experience as a leader in a local Writers' Workshop, and my qualification for Mensa in 2000.

After retirement, I have continued in new learning challenges; I volunteered for several years with the local Literacy Council, tutoring adults in ESL. I trained and worked as a veterinary assistant and also completed study to earn my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) status so I could work in-home with elderly patients. Topics such as medical science, ancient history and geography are of particular interest to me. Currently, I teach dog training classes in my community.
