Growing up, I was one of the few female students among my classmates who enjoyed learning about mathematics and science. I credit my passion for these subjects to my engaging teachers who were enthusiastic about their curriculum and therefore made learning fun. There are countless career opportunities awaiting students who become adept in these subjects. I hope to help break down the mathematics stigma that continues to discourage many elementary, middle, and high school students, while spreading my love for mathematics and lifelong learning.
I have over 20 years of mathematics teaching experience at the middle school, high school, and college levels. I am knowledgeable about Common Core standards and teaching methods, as well as various college entrance exams. I am positive, patient, and creative, and eager to help others appreciate the beauty and patterns in math. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from Lehigh University, a Master of Education degree from National University, and earned my PhD in Education from Walden University.
I am qualified to tutor in all levels of math, but I prefer to tutor the following subjects: middle school math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, PreCalculus, Calculus, and Statistics.
