As an assistant teacher I work in the Pre-K room with kids just beginning their academic career. I also play the role of group leader for our kids who come in for after school care. These kids are in grades K-6 and I help them with homework, activities and overall support.
What I like most about tutoring is working closely with one student at a time and devising lesson plans tailored just for them. Helping a child learn who might have thought they were unteachable is extremely rewarding. Seeing their grades and happiness improve is also an added bonus.
