I'm looking for students who are fascinated with Artificial Intelligence and want to build a deep theoretical foundation. Even if you have no experience--if you have passion, I can teach you the fundamentals of mathematics and computer programming.
I was a research assistant in the Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory at Penn State for over seven years. During my time there, I assisted teaching the 400 level Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course, where I met with students one-on-one to tutor technical content and assist with programming projects. I also have years of experience tutoring mathematics at the university level between College Algebra and Calculus II. My undergraduate degree is in Computer Science from Kutztown University, where I graduated summa cum laude.
In mathematics and other technical subjects, the most important skill is creative problem solving, not memorization. I teach students to explain techniques in their own words, adopt multiple perspectives, and take inventive and experimental approaches. You learn best when you're not sure what you're doing!
