Writing and Editing
I help students and professionals with essay writing, college composition, grammar, proofreading, organization, research-based writing, and business communication. Whether you’re returning to college after years away from the classroom or trying to make your professional writing clearer and more effective, I can help you develop the skills you need.

Business and Computer Skills
I also provide individualized instruction in Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva, Adobe InDesign, desktop publishing, and related business and graphic communications applications. My emphasis is on learning to use software to accomplish real-world tasks, rather than memorizing every feature.

My Teaching Approach
I believe effective tutoring begins with understanding what each student already knows, where they’re having difficulty, and what they want to accomplish. I explain concepts clearly, provide practical examples, and adapt lessons to individual needs.

My goal is not simply to help you complete an assignment or learn skills by rote. It’s to help you become more capable and independent so that you can apply what you’ve learned long after our tutoring sessions end.

I have used page layout programs on a professional level for more than two decades. I am proficient in Adobe InDesign and other software related to page layout and design. I also used PageMaker before Adobe changed it into InDesign. I have taught classes on a college level in these subjects, as well.

I have helped numerous high school students decide which schools they want to attend and prospective majors they might wish to pursue in school. For example, one of my ACT prep students wanted to be a double major in English and Astrophysics, so I asked a fellow Bryn Mawr College graduate who is an Astrophysicist to talk with her via phone to advise her. The end result is she decided the career wasn't for her. With another student, I helped him choose a college for the kind of business major he wanted and now that he is a graduate I advised him on whether a job offer was a good one (it was). I have helped many other students apply for jobs and put together resumes.

College Counseling

I have helped more than a dozen students in various aspects of the college selection and application process. I have helped some students decide which colleges would be best for their career and study plans. I have helped others complete the college applications, including the Common App, and write their essays. I have also visited colleges with some students as they decide which colleges interest them the most. I have done this for high school students and students at Valley Forge Military College who are seeking a college at which to finish their degree.

Hi, I have been doing graphic arts design using desktop tools since the software was first developed for desktop use more than 20 years ago. I have also taught classes in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop at the local community college. Plus, I have written books on the subject (how-to books) and continue to write and publish newsletters on tools used for graphic arts and desktop publishing.

I handle the design and layout responsibilities for all of the newsletters published by my company. The list of newsletters includes 7 to 8 newsletters a month, for which I used Adobe InDesign Creative Cloud (the latest version). I am well versed in this software as well as in QuarkXpress. I have also taught classes for the local community college in design and editing software (classes for students as well as adults). In addition, all of the newsletters I publish have something to do with graphic design.

I plan and lead all of the conferences and seminars held by my company, which is currently four or five events a year. Plus, I have presented at various printing and publishing industry conferences for more than 25 years and have also moderated panels at events. I am also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Public Speaking course. And, of course, we should include my years of public speaking as a teacher! I also wrote a book on the topic of public speaking.

Molly helped my 12th grader prepare for and improve her SAT scores as well as take her through the process of searching for and applying to schools.
