My name is Nate and I am a Pennsylvania state-appointed secondary math educator with over two years of real classroom experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II across multiple Pennsylvania schools. As a long-term substitute teacher, I have stepped into diverse classrooms and immediately delivered instruction to students at all skill levels — no ramp-up time, no learning curve. This experience has given me a unique ability to quickly identify exactly where a student is struggling and address it directly, because I have watched it happen across many different classrooms firsthand.

I specialize in Algebra I: whether your student is falling behind, prepping for an upcoming test, or needs to close a foundational gap before moving to the next level, I build the understanding that makes math click — not just memorized steps.

My approach to tutoring is built around genuine understanding rather than memorized procedures. My sessions are screen-share focused and whiteboard-based — your student stays actively engaged with the math, not passively watching a talking head. Every session follows a clear structure: we begin by diagnosing the specific gap, work through the concept together on a shared whiteboard, and finish with independent practice so I can confirm the student has truly grasped the material before we move on.

After every session, I send a written recap to parents covering what we worked on, what to practice before next time, and what we will tackle in the following session. Most students see measurable grade improvement within three to four sessions. If your student is struggling right now, I have openings this week and would love to help get them back on track.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have two years of classroom experience teaching Algebra I as a Pennsylvania state-appointed secondary math educator across multiple schools. I have delivered direct instruction in core Algebra I concepts including linear equations, systems of equations, inequalities, graphing, polynomials, and factoring to diverse student populations with varying skill levels. My teaching approach focuses on building genuine conceptual understanding rather than memorized procedures, using visual whiteboard-based instruction and immediate feedback to identify and close specific gaps. I have successfully supported students ranging from those needing foundational remediation to those preparing for standardized assessments.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have two years of Pennsylvania classroom experience teaching Algebra II as a state-appointed secondary math educator. I have delivered instruction in quadratic functions, polynomial operations, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations, and introduction to sequences and series. My sessions focus on connecting Algebra II concepts back to the Algebra I foundations students often have gaps in, making instruction both rigorous and accessible. I have worked with students preparing for standardized tests including the SAT where Algebra II content is heavily represented.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I have two years of Pennsylvania classroom experience teaching Pre-Algebra to middle and high school students across multiple schools. I have delivered instruction in integers, fractions, ratios, proportions, basic equations, and order of operations to students at varying levels of preparedness. My approach emphasizes building the foundational number sense and problem-solving skills that directly determine success in Algebra I, making Pre-Algebra instruction one of my highest-impact areas. I have supported students who struggled significantly with foundational concepts and guided them to confident algebraic readiness.
