I have been teaching high school math since 1990. Prior to teaching, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in math from Penn State, and then after I began teaching, I got my Master's Degree also in math from Villanova.
If it's math and in a high school, I have taught it. Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (non-AP, AB, and BC levels), and even multivariable. In all my years of teaching, I have always tried to find "the better way" to present the concepts.
I have developed many ways to think about a concept, so I should be able to find one that works for you. I believe to really get the math, you need to know why something works. A "trick" or "shortcut" will only last until the next test; with true understanding, you own the concept.
I have worked with students at all levels of understanding and math anxiety. I have great patience and will work with you at your comfort level to get you to understand the material. You, however, will need to be invested in the work we do together. I look forward to helping you succeed in whatever math journey you are currently on.
