I have been a francophile since I can remember. When I was 16 I decided to make my dream come true and study abroad in France for a year. I lived with a French host family and went to the local public school in my city. In college, I studied abroad in Senegal where the official language is also French. I believe that you can only become fluent in a language through immersion; however, I would love to help improve your french skills as much as possible if immersion isn't possible. I've been tutoring in French since I was in high school. Many times language classes focus mostly on the grammar component and not as much on conversational skills. Grammar is necessary but I emphasize oral skills.
I am a polyglot (I speak French, Greek, Spanish, and am currently learning Wolof). Through the numerous language classes and language teachers I've had I've learned what learning techniques work the best when learning a language.
I studied in France and Senegal in French programs where I was able to master my French skills. In college, I passed a French fluency exam.
