Hi! I'm a Duquesne University student, where my studies focus on political science and international relations. I earned a 5 on the AP U.S. Government and Politics exam, and my college coursework has deepened my understanding of the topics students often find most challenging, including federalism, civil rights and liberties, the required Supreme Court cases, and the foundational documents. I genuinely enjoy this subject, and I want to help students see that government isn't just a list of facts to memorize but a system that shapes their everyday lives.

While I'm newer to formal tutoring, I've spent years learning how to study this material effectively, and because I took AP Gov recently, I remember exactly which concepts felt confusing and what finally made them click. I work one-on-one with students in high school and college, and I adapt each session to the student's goals, whether that's catching up on a unit, preparing for a test, or building confidence for the AP exam in May.

My approach focuses on real understanding rather than memorization. I connect court cases and constitutional principles to current events so the ideas stick, and I break down each type of free-response question (concept application, quantitative analysis, SCOTUS comparison, and the argument essay) step by step so students know exactly what graders are looking for. I also use practice questions modeled on the real exam so test day feels familiar. For college students, I can help with introductory political science and international relations courses, including understanding readings, outlining and revising papers, and preparing for exams. I tutor online and offer flexible evening hours. I'd love to help you feel prepared and confident!

Government & Politics

I earned a 5 on the AP U.S. Government and Politics exam and am currently a junior at Duquesne University studying political science and international relations. I can help with everything from the Constitution, federalism, and civil liberties to the required Supreme Court cases, foundational documents, and political participation. I focus on building real understanding by connecting concepts to current events, and I walk students through each type of free-response question so they know exactly what graders expect. I also help college students with introductory government and political science courses, including readings, papers, and exam prep.
Political Science

Political Science

As a student at Duquesne University studying political science and international relations, I've completed coursework covering American politics, comparative government, and global affairs. I help high school and college students understand dense readings, break down political theories and concepts, and connect them to real-world events. I'm especially comfortable helping with writing, from developing a strong thesis and outlining an argument to revising papers for clarity and evidence. I also earned a 5 on the AP U.S. Government exam, so I can support students taking AP or introductory political science courses.
