I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biostatistics at the University of Pittsburgh (GPA: 3.97) with a concentration in Health Data Science after earning a B.S. in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University (GPA: 3.95).

During my time at Carnegie Mellon, I served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Statistics & Data Science. I led weekly laboratory sections of more than 40 students in introductory statistics and held weekly office hours for undergraduate courses in calculus-based probability, statistical inference, and advanced statistical methods with enrollments exceeding 180 students. In these roles, I worked one-on-one and in small groups to help students strengthen their conceptual understanding, solve problems independently, and apply statistical methods using clear, step-by-step explanations.

Outside the classroom, I use R daily in graduate coursework and professional data analytics internships to perform data cleaning, statistical modeling, and data visualization. I have experience with linear and generalized linear models, hypothesis testing, logistic regression, survival analysis, and publication-quality graphics in ggplot2. I enjoy adapting my teaching style to each student's background and helping students build confidence while developing lasting problem-solving skills.

Biostatistics

I am pursuing a Master's degree in Biostatistics and have a strong foundation in statistics, probability, epidemiology, and data analysis. My experience includes applying biostatistical methods to real-world clinical and public health datasets, allowing me to explain both the underlying concepts and their medical applications. I focus on helping students understand statistical reasoning rather than memorizing formulas, with an emphasis on interpreting research studies, study design, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and diagnostic test performance.
