I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Genetics from the Rutgers University Honors College in New Brunswick with a Presidential full-tuition scholarship and a Certificate in Computational Genetics. I am currently attending a 4 year MD program (Class of 2027) at the University Pittsburgh School of Medicine. As someone with Crohn's disease, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating higher education with a chronic illness, and thus am someone who prioritizes empathy and patience in my approach to tutoring.
I recognize firsthand that not everyone has perfect stats to get into medical school. I had an average MCAT Score and a high GPA, and strongly believe that crafting a strong narrative is what helped me secure an acceptance to osteopathic and allopathic medical schools (including a Top 20 program) and 10+ interviews. I have also helped either premedical peers or students get accepted into medical school, specifically in organizations like the Honors College Ally Peer Mentorship program at Rutgers University and the Prescribe it Forward mentorship program. I can specifically help with medical school application essay review, school list, strategy, activity recommendations, and more.
From a test prep experience in preparation for college, I scored a 35 on my ACT in 2016 (34 English, 35 Math, 35 Reading, 34 Reading). Given that the ACT has largely stayed the same in approach and content, I am confident I can help you with practice, strategy, and resources. From test prep experience in medical school, I passed USMLE Step 1 on my first attempt and am confident I can also similarly help with practice, strategy, and resources.
