Hi! My name is Kayley, and I’m a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh, double majoring in Law, Criminal Justice, and Society, as well as Theatre Arts. I’ve always loved learning and sharing knowledge, and I get a lot of satisfaction from helping others understand challenging concepts and build confidence in their skills. I like to make learning fun and interesting while keeping it focused and effective.
I have strong experience with high-level academics, having taken 14 AP classes in high school and completed the exams for each. I also scored a 32 on the ACT, including a perfect score in Reading, which gives me insight into test-taking strategies and critical reading skills. Beyond academics, I have hands-on experience from a law internship with a family lawyer, where I acted as a legal assistant both in and out of the courtroom. In high school, I was the Mock Trial Captain and served as Secretary for FBLA, competing at the state level in Impromptu Speaking. I’m also an avid reader and enjoy finding ways to make topics engaging and relatable.
I specialize in helping students with AP courses, standardized test prep, writing, and social science topics. My approach is adaptable to each student’s learning style, whether through guided practice, discussion, or interactive problem-solving. My goal is not just to help students get the right answers, but to help them understand the reasoning behind concepts so they can confidently apply their knowledge in school and beyond.
