Hello I'm Charlie. I graduated with a masters degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Entertainment Technology and before that attained my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (Ranked fifth for Computer Science by US News internationally). I have worked at start ups applying AI to games, consulted universities and companies as a designer and technologist, and continue to apply the knowledge I have gained from those things along with my years of tutoring and lecturing experience in order to best help my students in any way I can.
For SAT/ACT prep all of my students have hit the target scores for the universities they are applying to. I create targeted and individualized study plans that focus on removing knowledge gaps and developing test taking strategy. I also provide detailed tracking of how students are doing on each practice tests so you can see exactly how you are progressing and what still needs attention.
For my Computer Science, Game Development, and AI tutoring I focus on practical hands on lesson plans that get you creating as quickly as possible. I can get you making games in Unity or Unreal, applying AI Platforms like OpenAI or Claude to your daily work, or assist in your Computer Science course work or personal programming projects.
