Hi, my name is Stacy, and I am a certified 6–12 mathematics teacher with over nine years of classroom teaching experience and more than twenty years of tutoring experience working with students from elementary school through adult learners. I currently teach high school mathematics, supporting students with a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University, which strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills. I also hold a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Education from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, I completed my 6–12 Mathematics Teaching Certification through Duquesne University, preparing me to effectively teach and tutor middle and high school mathematics.
I have extensive experience tutoring Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and GED math. My tutoring experience includes one-on-one instruction, classroom support, and individualized academic assistance, both in person and online. I have worked with students who need foundational skill support, homework help, test preparation, and confidence building.
My teaching and tutoring approach is structured, patient, and student-centered. I focus on identifying learning gaps and breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I emphasize conceptual understanding, problem-solving strategies, and real-world connections to help students better engage with the material. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
My goal is to help students improve academically while also developing confidence and long-term understanding in mathematics.
