Hello, my name is Sachin! I am currently in my third year of medical school. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, a minor in Chemistry, and a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. During my time in college and medical school, I have found peer discussions to be the single most effective form of learning. So I implement this approach into every single one of my tutoring sessions by prompting students to vocalize their thoughts as they solve problems. I strongly believe that my role as a tutor does not simply stop at the content itself, but that it extends to equipping students with the tools & strategies necessary for a lifetime of academic success.

I have five years of experience tutoring college students in 1-on-1 and small group settings in a variety of subjects, including Physics 1 and 2, Biochemistry, Human Physiology, Introductory Neuroscience, Neurophysiology, and pre-clinical medical school coursework. I currently specialize in tutoring for the MCAT and relevant undergraduate pre-health coursework. In addition to a strong background in tutoring, I earned a 99th percentile score on the MCAT. I recognize that learning content is only half of the picture, because solid grades and test scores also stem from strong test-taking skills. So as a tutor, I emphasize the methods and approaches that I have found to be helpful on test day!
