I tutor for the MCAT and Step 1. I also provide help with the medical school admissions process: everything from guiding you in writing your personal statement to helping you develop a school list and write secondaries. During my preclinical years, I did admissions interviews for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine so can help with mock interviews, providing feedback so you are as prepared as possible for your actual interviews.

I was working full-time while studying for the MCAT, so I understand the struggle of developing a study plan and figuring out how to use your time most effectively. I ended up scoring a 130 (97th/98th percentile) on all sections and would love to use my own experience to help others study most effectively and achieve their target score. Since practice is key in preparing for the MCAT, our tutoring sessions will focus on working through practice passages together and reviewing content as needed. Your success is my goal!

I am a first year medical student who has taken courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I have really enjoyed every genetics course I have taken so would be happy to tutor students and help them enjoy it as well! I think genetics is a course that can be difficult to conceptualize, so my focus would be helping students on the details of the molecular processes while also helping them keep in mind the big picture of such processes.

I scored a 130 in all sections on the MCAT and am well equipped to tutor in any of the sections. While studying for the MCAT, I tried many different study methods (note taking, Anki, practice problems) and want to use my experience to help others prepare and succeed. Prior to taking the MCAT, I had a tutor for the CARS section and I feel like seeing what helped me in those sessions will allow me to better help students and ensure the time we spend together prepares them well for test day.

Knowledgeable, patient, and a tutor that cares about your score !!! I needed help with CARS and we worked on Jack Westin CARS together which was a success.
