I'm Justin! I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a certification in Secondary Education. After college, I taught various grades of high school level English followed by seven years of eighth grade English and Language Arts (across skill levels, including Honors and college prep.). I'm also experienced in assisting students with school applications, i.e. private high school as well as college essays. Throughout my years of teaching, I organized clubs, writing workshops, and updated district curriculum to be inclusive of all the voices in my classroom. Having taught prior to, including, and post-COVID, I'm an experienced remote teacher who focuses on the content that brings us together rather than the environment in which we learn.

The written word has always been a passion of mine and I thoroughly enjoy creative writing, from poetry to short-stories. Whether you require help in writing, language arts, or literature, I am happy to provide any help. Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions or would like to schedule a session.

Creative Writing

Creative Writing

As an eighth-grade English and Language Arts teacher, my students had to write 3 different texts throughout the year: narrative, expository, and argumentative. Creative writing would fall into the creative writing style where students would write different examples of fiction and have one of their submissions count towards their final grade.

Essay Writing

Throughout the course of the year, my eighth-grade students were required to submit three different styles of writing: narrative, expository, and argumentative pieces. Being well-versed in all three styles fostered their foundational writing skills and prepared them for high-school level assessments.
