In elementary and middle school I played piano, guitar, cello and clarinet but switched to the drums as my main instrument in high school. From there I went on to major in jazz performance at Temple University earning my degree in the spring of 2015. Since then I’ve taught and played professionally in a wide variety of styles.
In my teaching, I like to cover the mechanics of drumming but with the understanding that technique is a means to musical ends. I’ll help to improve not just your drumming abilities, but your overall musicianship too.
I’ve had great teachers and enjoy passing along the information I’ve learned from them. I’ve had many years of playing experience that has informed my curriculum. I have valuable information to offer to anyone seeking a career as a professional drummer as well as any one who would just like to learn for fun. I take the goals of all students seriously, utilize lesson time well and create a relaxed yet professional atmosphere during lessons.
