I'm Timothy! I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a certificate in GIS! My BA of Sociology was a dual tract for quantitative and qualitative methods but specialize in the latter. I found a love for sociology via professors that not only made the course material interesting but also relatable to the world around me. What is sociology but the study of everyday life? I was lucky enough to be mentored by these professors and to TA under them which gave me a valuable insight as to what are effective methods for teaching dense material.
As an undergraduate I ran both official and unofficial sociology tutor groups; I was a TA for multiple professors, and sat on the board of the ASA Student Forum Advisory Board. Additionally, I presented original research at multiple conferences!
I believe that tutoring and teaching should be both beneficial to the student as well as the instructor. I welcome any questions, suggestions or resources you may have. Feel free to reach out with any inquiries!
