I'm Kelly! I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, and a minor in Business Intelligence. As a recent graduate, I want to help students set and exceed their academic goals while having fun along the way. One thing I have realized about my learning style is that I respond best with creative teaching styles. Reading textbooks is great, but it's important to go a step further, diving into engaging exercises to truly learn and retain information that you have been presented with. As a visual learner, I appreciated professors going an extra mile to make classroom lessons engaging and digestible. I use lesson plans to introduce new topics in these creative and memorable ways, then teach the material in detail. After lessons, I ensure that students have time to practice on their own.

I have coached ages 4-12 in tennis for over 5 years. I have coached groups of 1-20 children at a time with varying skill level. I worked directly with those who required additional assistance to ensure that they were given the additional coaching needed to excel. Through this, I have gained a deeper understanding on how to adapt ways to coaching and teaching based on the child's learning style. With experience in a broad age group, I am well equipped to tutor students across subject areas.

I have a strong background in English, including reading, grammar, and vocabulary. It has always been a strong suit of mine. I want to share tips and tricks that I have learned along the way that have allowed me to love the subject.
