I'm a graduate student from the Philadelphia area studying Financial Mathematics at Temple University (BBA in Actuarial Science with Math and MIS minors). I have tutored a lot of students ever since I was HS for a variety of topics such as chess, math, and Spanish (online and in person).

I have tutored students in different math subjects since HS and have tutored college students in different college-level math classes. I achieved perfect scores on the SAT Math 2 Subject Test and the math section of the SAT.

I have tutored a few students in Spanish while in HS. I currently proofread some of my friends' Spanish homework assignments.

I tutored a group of ES students while I was in HS and led them to their 1st playoff debut in a scholastic chess league. I play competitively (currently 2050 USCF and 1875 FIDE) and play a lot online. Most of my online ratings on chess.com and lichess are 2400-2500+ (blitz, bullet, and rapid/classical). [Generally top .5-1% of players on each site]

I am currently ranked in the top 0.5% of blitz, bullet and rapid time controls on chess.com and lichess. For these online time controls, I usually have both of the following: a rating of 2500 or higher and am in the top 0.1% in these time controls. I have a USCF rating of 2050 and a FIDE rating of 1875 and have beaten numerous strong players, including masters, in casual or rated games online and OTB. I have coached a local elementary school chess team and led them to the playoffs of a scholastic chess league for the first time in school history and am also an assistant chess tournament director and private chess coach.

Discrete Math

I had a CIS minor to my degree. As part of the CIS minor, I took 2 discrete math classes. The first class focused on propositional logic/calculus, number theory, and basic probability/statistics. The second class focused on algorithm runtime (big O and big theta notation), graph theory, induction (mathematical induction and strong induction), and a introduction to linear algebra.
