Hello Students! My name is Edith, and I love learning and teaching biology. I am very passionate about making biology intuitive to students so that they can enjoy it as much as I do.

Hello Students! My name is Edith, and I love learning and teaching biology. I am very passionate about making biology intuitive to students so that they can enjoy it as much as I do.

My love for science started from a very young age, and when I entered college, I decided to pursue a major in biology and earn my bachelor of science (BS) degree. Following my undergraduate studies, I pursued a Masters degree where I earned my Master of Biomedical Sciences (MS). In this program, I took and completed advanced courses much like the ones medical students take. These included courses like human anatomy, molecular basis of medicine (a molecular genetics and biochemistry course), and physiology among many courses. I have also completed a thesis project at the graduate level studying coronary vessel development.

But above all, what makes me qualified to help you reach your academic goals is the fact that I will work with you to find a study style that works for you.

My tutoring experience (4 years) includes tutoring for molecular basis of medicine which combines concepts of molecular genetics and biochemistry. I’ve also worked as a teaching assistant in a human anatomy lab helping students learn about the muscles, arteries, nerves, and veins of the body.

As a Spanish major while in undergrad, I also can help students with Spanish, particularly those needing assignments or papers to be translated from English to Spanish.

Exceptional, reliable, thorough

Tutoring request was for a college level BioChem problem set. Before I "found" her, I reached out to 5 other tutors who all declined the request after seeing the p-set (which was attached a PDF) - I guess it was that complicated. Thankfully, another Wyzant tutor recommended Edith A. Anyway, Edith walked through the p-set patiently explaining whatever my child could not understand.
