I worked as a writing center tutor at Princeton and Saint Joseph's University, both of which gave me invaluable training in building on students' strengths and working as a team.
Students tell me what they want to work on, and I prioritize that along with the specifics of each assignment. My tutoring process is collaborative, but guided.
Good writing is good thinking, and one of my main goals is to show students how to make the most of the good ideas they already have, and give them skills and lessons they can apply to future work.
In addition to writing, I would love to talk about career planning, college and grad school applications, and government, law, and social studies!
