My name is Snider and I enjoy teaching science both at the grade school and advance level - Let me help you reach your academic goals. I specialize in assisting students in understanding biology, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. Furthermore, I can guide you through your medical school application pre or post MCAT- i.e., the writing of your primary and secondary applications.
I grew up in Philadelphia and am a recent Ph.D. graduate of the Department of Integrated Biology and Physiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and a future M.D. student. As a doctoral candidate, I taught and assisted both undergraduate and medical school physiology. Prior to that, I tutored biology and calculus as an undergraduate and worked assisting students from the School District of Philadelphia with SAT/ACT preparation and their college application process. I'd love to help you in any way that I can.
I have a strong background in biology and chemistry as demonstrated by my high level of academic achievements which includes teaching awards and multiple articles and abstracts published in basic and clinical research. Additional, I have recent experiences applying to both a science Ph.D. and M.D. programs.
As a science Ph.D. and current M.D. Applicant, I have accumulated over 10 years of biomedical classroom and laboratory experiences. My Ph.D. training involved teamwork and shared decision making, interdisciplinary approaches to problem-solving, and a high-level of professionalism. In addition to independently conducting cancer biology research, I supervised close to a dozen undergraduate student researchers. I oversaw their laboratory training and advised these students on summer internship opportunities, graduate and professional school applications, and standardized exams. Furthermore, I have a wealth of teaching experiences in different settings that will make me a great asset to you as while completing your studies.
